The T17E2 was based on the T17E1 and was acquired by the British for antiaircraft use. The T17E2 replaced the 37mm gun turret with an open-topped turret mounting two .50cal MGs. The bow machine gun was eliminated by the relocated radio set. Early T17E2s had a turret with flat sides, but later cars featured rounded sides on their turrets. The British dubbed this model Staghound AA.
